Postcard of Mandracchio Port

Hi All
Please accept my apologies for weiting in English. After my recent visit to trieste I have some items with which I would be grateful for the forums' help!
This is a small format card, obviously not that old, but the picture is interesting. Is this image the old Mandracchio port?

It's Piazza Unità (at that time Piazza Grande). The sea is a little bit too far to see it.
From Google maps with my red arrow you can understand the correct view.

The reason why I ask is this... You can see ship's masts and crows nests. These appear far enough forward to be in the old Mandracchio Port and in line with the visible building (pallazo Strati?)

The building in my opinion is not palazzo Stratti, but the old Governor's palace, the first Luogotenenza

Per me, l'edificio non è Palazzo Stratti, ma la vecchia Luogotenenza, abbattuta all'inizio del Novecento per la costruzione dell'attuale edificio, ora prefettura
